Asphalt Contractor Editor Brandon Noel spends time with IRONPROS Senior Technology Editor Charles Rathmann for a deep conversation of the role of business and production software in that sector.

RATHMANN: So today, what we're going to be delving into a little bit is some material that Brandon and I have been collaborating on about software specifically for asphalt contractors. Asphalt contractors have a somewhat unique business model. It doesn't necessarily get to be addressed very well by a lot of standard construction project management software's because it's, it's more of a straight through kind of process in in many cases. But that doesn't mean that you want to kind of cowboy hat and go it alone. So Brandon, when it comes to the software that you see having a footprint among your readership, for asphalt contractor and pavement maintenance and reconstruction, you know, what do you think folks are using.

NOEL: So there are really two types of software that everything falls into that that I see as I talked to people about. And it's I don't want to preach to the choir, you know, but really, the two things that I see over and over again, is there's going to be software related to the production of asphalt. And there's going to be software in relation to the placing fleet management operation, operational side, right.
