GEHL Expands V Series Skid Steers and VT Series CTLs

A vertical lift configuration enables stable lifting performance on jobsites. With the ability to keep loads close to the machine, these work vehicles are designed for loading, dumping, stacking, material handling and more.

GEHL has launched three new V Series compact skid steer loaders and three VT Series compact track loaders to the North American market.

These models include:

  • V210
  • V230
  • V275
  • VT210
  • VT230
  • VT275

These new skid steer and compact track loader models have a capacity of 2,100 lbs. to 2,750 lbs.

The breakout force is now 12% higher on average (compared to the previous range) and the tank capacity has increased by 14%. The new loaders feature keyless start requiring only code activation, LED lighting and a patented Pilot joystick system as standard, adjacent to the operator’s seat. Numerous innovations also facilitate maintenance with a lifting cab and centralized maintenance points.

"We have focused on improvements in five main areas: safety, comfort, productivity, simplification, and serviceability. All models are vertical lift and feature a new lift arm design. The driver’s station has also been redesigned with an improved version of our patented folding door. The new cab also offers some of the best visibility on the market thanks to a new window and roof design,” said Nathan Ryan, compact loader line manager at GEHL.

The track loader range is equipped as standard with the patented IdealTrax system for automatic track tensioning. Numerous options (additional LEDs on the sides, high hydraulic flow, rear camera, etc.) are also available to meet the requirements of each user.

It is worth noting that the potential total cost of ownership (TCO) of these models has been reduced, with the VT 210 model, for example, a potential TCO of only $20 per hour, representing an average reduction of 7.2% over the previous model range.

IRONPROS Perspective

GEHL brings decades of experience building construction equipment to these products. This matters when purchasing and operating vertical lift equipment, as they are more complex and have more maintenance points compared to a radial lift unit. Going with a top brand, like GEHL, could promote peace of mind and reliable performance on the jobsite.

To get the most out of these machines you need to carefully match them with the proper application or project. If you’re moving materials around a construction site, such as dirt to a dump truck or transporting pallets, the new GEHL work vehicles are the right choice.

Look at radial lift units for digging, grading or site preparation. With better visibility and curved arm movement, these machines are easier to maintain but have lower lift capacities than a vertical lift unit.
