Mini excavators need all the help they can get when taking on thick brush, trees, stumps and branches. For these tough jobs, you need the X30 Rotary Brush Cutter attachment.

One of the best ways to get the most out of your mini excavator is to pair it with a monstrous attachment, like the 42-in. X30 Rotary Brush Cutter by Virnig. This attachment is Virnig's first attachment product for mini excavators. In line with its debut, engineers did not hold back on the X30's design and capabilities.

The first thing you should know about this excavator accessory is that it features three, double-sided blades with a 145-lb. flywheel. Other low-quality rotary brush cutters on the market today utilize dual blades with a light flywheel, making control difficult when encountering dense brush.

Clearing Power

The X30 is for land clearing, landscaping and site preparation. With 4-in. cutting capacity, the attachment can handle brush, small trees, vegetation, small branches and more. Operators can use the serrated rear deck on the attachment to drag brush for additional clearing power. Because this is used on a mini excavator, the attachment is designed to navigate tight spaces, such as public areas and around fences, buildings, commercial sites and similar environments. It excels in tackling uneven terrain and slopes.

If you need additional cutting engagement, simply remove the front deck. This configuration results in 270° blade engagement!

In contrast, if you need to control and contain flying debris, we’ve designed optional left and right heavy-duty side curtains. One side curtain is typically installed on the left to protect the operator and machine, and adding a right side curtain provides the best material containment for added safety when operating near roadsides and homes, explained Tyler Monson from Virnig Manufacturing.

Under the Hood

The X30 is powered by an Eaton Geroler motor. This motor does not need a case drain line, resulting in reduced maintenance.

Operating Requirements:

Greater than 8,900-lbs. recommended mini-excavator weight

15-25 gpm recommended auxiliary flow rate

700 lbs. overall weight; 830 lbs. with sides
